SARAH KERR BMUS. MMUS.

An accomplished pianist, Sarah studied for a Bachelor’s Degree in music at the University of Hull, focussing on performance with Irina Glushenkova (formerly of Moscow Conservatoire). Sarah went on to complete a Master’s Degree in music at the University of Surrey, specialising in performance (with Clive Williamson) and musicology (with Dr Jeremy Barham). She wrote her thesis on the influence recording technology has on performance practice. Sarah also studied choral and orchestral conducting with Russell Keable during her Master’s Degree. 

Sarah has performed as a soloist, accompanist (instrumental and voice), chamber musician and twice with full orchestra (Shostakovich and Weill) as a pianist, and performed in masterclasses with Yonty Solomon and Niel Immelman. She has worked and performed around London and the South as an opera repetiteur and as an accompanist with several local choirs.
